My name is Jon Unger, I enjoy building popsicle stick catapolts and lighthouses. One of my professional goals is to be a successful management professional who leads by example. The reason I am part of this network is to learn what the web has to offer and see where it is heading in the near future. Dr. Alam has already touched on Web 2.0 and blogging. I am excited to see what topics we will be hitting in the next several weeks. I'll keep my page updated with random postings and movie files. Check back every now and then to see whats going on.
My name is James. I am a grad student at YSU studying mechanical engineering. I am looking forward to being a part of the network. Hopefully, I can learn somethings from others and share some ideas, too.
Hello everybody. My name is Bryan Gall. I am a grad student in Electrical Engineering. I work at Soft-Lite Windows in Streetsboro. I enjoy sports, listening to music, playing video games, and many other things. I hope to learn some new things by being part of this network.
Hi, I am Dolly Bhasin from Delhi, India. Currently researching new approaches to Elearning for developing Capacities in Knowledge sector. I am here to explore the infotech tools and exchange ideas for my proposed TRAVARSITY project - an elearning platform for professionals.
I am glad that you made it here. Please use this with the course website http://www.eng.ysu.edu/~jalam/engr6923s08 and you are already on the facebook. You may want to join infotechtools group on facebook. There is a Yahoo group too at
groups.yahoo.com/group/engr6923s08
Some of the course material is on it too.
Have a look around and feel free to discuss and contribute.
Dr Javed,
I am so happy to be here.
I was pleasantly surprised to find the group, did I miss out an invite from you or you had not sent one?
You knew, I am actively surfing for researching the topic and would not have escaped this for long.
In any case, this is something of my dream course.
Thanks for the effort. Shall look forward to learn from you.
Will sign up on yahoo group later, but do confine the communications to one, otherwise, it becomes impossible to keep track. I am already on facebook group.
Is there something that I can contribute?
You would definitaly find me on the discussions, as and when time permits.
My name is Dan and I'm living in Cleveland, OH. I'm in the process of finishing my Masters degree in Engineering Management. I find this course interesting because I never really new how many different social networks there are or how they work. If you spend the time to do a little research, you will be amazed as to what you can find.
Good to see learners like you who wish to know what they do not know and are prepared to make an effort to learn. We are so caught up in our operational and routine lives, that we fail to sometime notice the new things cropping around us.
I have been trying to keep myself updated with the learning on the subject and Dr. Javed has done an excellent job of putting this course together. I am sure all of us would benefit to enrich ourselves.
BTW, I am doing my Masters in Travel Tourism, though I am an Electronics and Comm. Engineer. I have 22 yrs experience and handled many challenging Datacom projects. My current challenge is to design and develop an elearning platform for professionals - TRAVARSITY.
