We need to arrange a session for Flashmeeting from OU. I will set up the meeting on their web site but we need some common time. The meeting duration will be one hour.
For me the best time is 8Pm in the evening Monday through Thursday except wednesday. On that day due to final it has to be 8:30PM.
Let me know how is every body else's schedule as soon as possible.
Please make sure that you have access to all web addresses provided there and also make sure about the time constraint.
The last project is 40 points and this extra work will account for the final exam in the course. Also it provides good practice on the video based conversation programs, a complete review of what we have done, along with some comic relief in the end.
Please confine all your questions, discussion and suggestions within this discussion unit.
Yeah, I tried to follow the link and view as a guest, but I had zero luck with it. I also tried creating a new user account, but that didn't work either.
Chris sorry you missed the meeting. For some reason their login system let people register but did not work for authentication. I had to create a new meeting room.
Dr. Alam, I was/have been unable to join the meeting. I have tried so many things, but all that I was able to do was watch as a guest. I was not able to sign in and contribute. So you know why?
We all had to go in as guest because for some reason their login system did not recognize us even though we all registered including me.
It did allow me to create meeting so I did create a new one.
You said you could watch but could not participate. Leby and Phaneendra have the same problem. Did you check your video and microphone set up. They are using adobe/macromedia commuinication server and it does not read the hardware setting from MS registry and needs configuration set up at least once and then you need to make it permanent by checking that option during configuration.
I also had problem with it initially and kept losing my sound till I figured this out by trial and error. You need to right click on the screen and pick settings. It gives you a menu to set all the hardware that includes video and microphone.
It seems most of the video related web site are using adobe/macromedia video encoding and their streaming server so the configuration option describe earlier is required by all of them.
