You did set the permission properly on your google doc therefore I am not able to open it. I do not have an email address that is id@student.ysu.edu
You need to use your gmail account to create the google docs and then add all the emails addresses for all the people who you want to share your doc that is entire class. If you follow this procedure then every body will be notified for the document and they can see it.
