What are people's experience with virtual classrooms ? WiZiQ offers a virtual Classroom that doesn't cost $100,000 for a site license. That's what attracted me to the WiZiQ VC platform.

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I’ve never used Facebook before this course. By researching Facebook capabilities, I noticed a lot of useful tools offered by this program. One of them is certainly MyOffice application. My group created a project called ENGR6923 Group1, so we are now able to communicate among each other in order to fulfill our group assignments. MyOffice lets us to discuss ideas related to the specific topic, as well as to share files, organize events, create to-do lists and a… Continue

This is the link to my Flickr page. It has a couple of albums. One has pictures of me and the other has pictures I took at a Cavs game I sat courtside at. I have always wanted to make my own page on flickr to put my images on but I never got around to it. Now that I have made my page I will continue to add more pictures to it.

I liked using Google calendar. It is very similar to the calendar used in Microsoft Outlook. We use that at work to know what everyone around the office has scheduled just as we as a class can now use the Google calendar to know what each other is doing. Myoffice in Facebook is a nice application. It allows people to have different projects on their own personal version with different groups of people. With this you can write notes and put events on a calendar. Like I said, I think this a very u… Continue

By using and comparing all of the document writing/editing tools in this learning unit, I realized that Zoho Writer has the most user friendly interface and majority of options that suit my need. The disadvantage of Zoho is that it is an online tool and requires constant high-speed internet connection. Therefore, and also due to being used to MS Word and its options, I decided to continue using MS Word. It also provides me with the most detailed set of features needed for professional text writi… Continue

With the various social networking programs we have used in the class the only one that I have used before is Facebook. Facebook has many applications to use within it. It also has a large amount of users. I like that Linkedln gives more of a professional look. I think I would use it out of all of the programs for that purpose. Friendfeed is nice in that you can see all of the sites that you friends have visited from different applications such as Digg. Ning is nice in that we are all part of a… Continue

I have a lot of prior experience with MS Word. For this reason I believe that I will use it in my future document writing. I actually liked working with the other programs. I never had experience with Google docs until a few weeks ago. Heading into last week, I never had experience with ZOHO or Wiki. Having been introduced to these programs, I feel that their ease of use is very nice. I think in the future I will use on of these if I am working in a group that would need to use sharing and colla… Continue

From the comparison of MS Word 2003/ 2007, Google Docs, Zoho Writer and Wiki Program (For Q. No. 1) (Comparision is on : http://infotech3.wetpaint.com), I would conclude:
MS Word2003/2007, Google Docs and ZOHO writer and Wiki program has the similar interface to create document save, edit and so on. However, We can find a number of less or more facilities in these programs. MS Word 2003/2007 is for all the types of users from the beginning level to the Advanced level of users.
